Ice, Ice Baby

We are in the midst of a terrible ice storm. Here are the stats:
1. 4 inches of ice.
2. 20 plus branches down in our yard.
3. one large pecan tree destroyed.
4. power out for multiple days.
5. 25% of j-towns trees damaged (justin's estimate)
6. tornado like damage
7. jackson, mo - "worst hit" city during storm

Here is a link to our newspapers photos of the event: http://www.semissourian.com/gallery/2668/
The picture of the courthouse on this site, is about a block away from our house.

Happy Birthday Owen!

We can't believe our baby is already 2! We had a baseball birthday party for him, and we send thanks to the friends and family that attended. We feel blessed to have such an amazing little boy and such wonderful friends and family.

What happens when the Robinsons get together?

Butterflies were caught from an elephant's trunk.
The family's artistic side came out.
The building and destruction of the Arch...or at least the St. Louis Science Center's version of it.

Owen and Jaydon thought they were the funniest ever when they ran and jumped on Nana's couch.

Peacocks!

No trip to Jackson would be complete without feeding corn to peacocks at a local cemetery. Yes, we take our kids to a cemetery to look at peacocks...and No, I'm still not sure why they are there, but it's free and fun!

The Donelys visit Jackson!

There's nothing like snuggling with a Nana and Papa when you just wake up from a nap.
Carter is 8 months now.

Jaydon and Owen chillin' on the couch.

Christmas Pictures

Justin and I did our best this week to get some good pictures by the tree. This is just using the self-timer on the camera and attempting to get Owen to look at the camera, even though there's no one fun behind to make him want to look in that direction. We basically ended up with 2 types of pics: the blank stare face from Owen, wondering again why he was having to sit still and look at a flashing light and the "cheese" face from Owen. I have to say the cheese face is my favorite. When we tell him to say cheese for a picture, this is the face he now always makes.

More pumpkin pictures

We went to see Ann's parents a few weeks ago and got to go to Eckert's farm to pick apples and look at pumpkins.
